Magneto/Professor X (Erik Lenscherr/Charles Xavier)

Okay, I admit it right off. I'm not a serious fan of the comics, largely because I cannot afford a comics habit on top of my book habit. But I really, really, really like Sir Ian McKellen, and so I have a fondness for Magneto/Professor X. Gemma Files's Torque and Unheimlich offer a couple of lovely, roundabout looks into the minds of Erik Lenscherr and Charles Xavier, and at their complex relationship. (movieverse)

Wolverine/Magneto (Logan/Erik Lenscherr)

FayJay's Unbound takes a pairing I wouldn't have thought of and makes it believeable. Logan dreams. These dreams went beyond good or bad, and the only comfort he could cling to in their dazed aftermath was the near-certainty that they were nothing more than dreams. Not yet shards of memory. Never that.
